But you can call me Brittany.
My goal as a music educator is to nurture confident, joyful, and expressive young musicians who see music as an essential part of their lives. I believe every child is inherently musical, and with purposeful, sequential, and playful instruction, their natural aptitude can flourish. Through singing, movement, instruments, storytelling, and creative exploration, I aim to cultivate not just musical skill, but empathy, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. My classroom is a space where students feel safe to take risks, celebrate one another, and discover the magic of making music together.

Brittany Brandt is the Lower School Music Teacher at Browne Academy in Alexandria, Virginia, where she teaches students from preschool through fourth grade and leads the middle school drama program. A passionate advocate for music for all, Brittany believes that joyful, hands-on music making helps children grow in confidence, empathy, and community.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from West Chester University and a Master’s in Music Education from Shenandoah University. Brittany is working on her Orff Levels, and is fully trained in First Steps in Music and Conversational Solfege. Her professional interests include early childhood music development, music aptitude, and using theater and movement to nurture creativity and problem-solving.
